Low Flow Toilets

Commercial buildings use about 20% of the US drinking water supply. Reducing total commercial building water consumption by just 10% would mean saving well over 2 trillion gallons of water each year!

Old toilets use up to 7 gallons of water per flush; now all new toilets are required to use 1.6 gallons or less per flush. Check to see what type of toilet you use, or ask your Property Manager. You may be flushing lots of water down the pipe!

The California Green Building Standards Code will require 1.28 gpf for new toilets and 0.5 for new urinals starting in 2011.
