This workshop focuses on how the system approach and continuous improvement methodologies (i.e. Lean-Six Sigma) in various industrial sectors, retail services (i.e. hotels, warehouse clubs, supermarket/grocery stores, restaurants, etc.) and hospitals can be used to:
- Improve energy efficiency
- Reduce operating and maintenance costs
- Reduce vulnerability to energy and fuel price increases
- Meet customer expectations and enhance productivity
- Improve safety and environmental quality
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and
- Improve overall profit and competitive advantage.
Speaker: Majid Ahmadi
Dr. Majid Ahmadi has over 25 years of experience with utility energy efficiency (EE), demand-side management (DSM), and distributed generation (DG) programs and is the founder of CanTech Energy, which provides consulting services in energy savings through process improvement. He possesses a proven track record of accomplishment in assisting both entrepreneurial and established companies in continuous improvement initiatives, business strategy, leading and developing successful teams, and measuring and improving the customer experience. With his unique experience in energy savings through process improvement and optimization, Dr. Ahmadi has guided many commercial, retail services and industrial clients (electric and natural gas users) to improve their overall energy efficiency. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, is a General Electric Lean-Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Registered Professional Engineer, ISO Lead Auditor and holder of several US patents in the energy field.
